Orlando March 5 - March 21, 2011

Wow! Have we ever had fun in Orlando! 3 days of Universal + 5 days of Disney + 4 days of water parks = EXHAUSTION We are worn out but it was a blast!! Our fist few days we spent at our hotel which had a water park there at the hotel. We loved that!! The boys were the first ones down the water slides in the morning and the last ones down the slides at night.

Steve, Riley and Christopher took a helicopter tour over Orlando. They got to see all the theme parks from a helicopters perspective. They loved it! I prefer to have my fun on the ground instead of in the air!

We then moved on to Universal Studios. Our favorite ride there was the Harry Potter ride although Steve loved the Dragon Challenge roller coaster. It was fun seeing so many new and different things. Riley loves going on the wild roller coasters and Steve goes with him. Christopher and I like our rides a little calmer!

On March 12th (Riley's birthday) we took a needed break from the theme parks and drove over to Daytona Beach to attend the Daytona 200 motorcycle races! What a blast!! I didn't know that I would enjoy it as much as I did. We all loved it. Those bike fly around the course! We had great seats right by on of the corners where a lot of the action took place. It was a great race!!

On to Disney!! We went to Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studio, Animal Kingdom and then back to Magic Kingdom all in 7 days! We were worn out! I even did the Everest roller coaster at Animal Kingdom! I was terrified but Steve made me go! I actually had a blast! Christopher got lost at Epcot and ended up at guest relations! We aren't up for parents of the year anytime soon!! Poor kid!! There were 15 thousand people at the park and he asked the Disney worker, "I lost my parents, do you know where they are?" The next day we went and bought everyone in the family new phones!! Now if we can just keep the boys from losing them! The boys like Magic Kingdom but my favorite is Animal Kingdom. I love that park!!

  1. I am so glad you found Christopher! What a nightmare that must have been. Sure sounds like you are having so much fun. I am sure you are still up for parents of the year, at least in my book you are!!!

  2. Wow, I really, really hope to do a trip with my kids some day just like this. Sounds incredible!! Oh, poor Christopher! That made my heart sink reading that and what he said to the worker. He's so sweet and I'm glad you found him! It all sounds like quite an adventure. :)
